Why collars beat crates
A wooden crate is built once, shipped once, and often scrapped. A collar system is modular: the same components restack into different container sizes and fold away between uses. That flexibility is why closed-loop supply chains love them.

How collars work
A collar is a hinged, four-sided wooden frame — usually four or more boards tall — that drops onto the deck of a standard pallet. The hinged corners let it fold flat when empty and lock square when in use.
Because they simply stack, you build the exact container height a load needs: one collar for a shallow bin, four or five for a tall box. Access is easy too — many collars have a drop-down front board so a worker can reach in without unloading from the top.

Do collars fit any pallet?
They're sized for standard footprints (most commonly 48×40 / 1200×800). Tell us your pallet size and we'll match collars to it.
New or used collars?
Both. Used collars offer the same reusability at a lower entry cost; new collars suit customer-facing or export loops. Email us your volumes for a quote.
How tall can I stack collars?
Stack as many as the load and your handling allow — each collar adds height, and you can mix heights across bins. For very tall or heavy stacks, tell us the load and we'll advise a safe configuration.
Can I make a fully closed box?
Yes. Add a lid pallet on top of the stacked collars and you have an enclosed, weather-resistant, stackable box that still folds flat when empty — all assembled by hand, no tools.
How much space do folded collars save?
A lot. Hinged collars collapse to a fraction of their standing height — roughly 85% space saved — so empties store and ship back flat instead of eating a full pallet footprint each.
Are collars a good fit for food or agriculture?
They're widely used for produce, grain, and non-contact food handling. For direct food contact, ask us about clean, untreated stock and we'll match the right collars to your requirement.
Can you help set up a returnable loop between our sites?
